Fundraisers lit up Maidstone’s Mote Park as they took part in our first-ever Glow Night Run to raise vital funds.
Around 100 daring do-gooders put their best foot forward at the sponsored 5k race on Friday 27 March.
All wore bright neon running gear for the sponsored event, which helped to raise £6000 for ellenor.
ellenor is the only charity in the county that provides hospice care for people of all ages – babies, children and adults - and their families. This includes pain and symptom relief, end of life care, respite, bereavement support and emotional and spiritual care.
Our Children's Hospice Care is provided in the security and comfort of the family home, and this care extends across the whole of Bexley and West Kent, including Maidstone and surrounding villages.
Events Manager Hayley Brown said: “What a great moment it was to see so many people in their neon gear running together to raise funds for ellenor, so we can provide vital care to families in need of support. We are also very grateful to CSIS for sponsoring this fantastic event.”
