Overwhelming community support for ellenor, post minibus theft

News   •   Feb 02, 2018 10:26 GMT

On the morning of Wednesday 31 January, it was discovered that the catalytic converters on two of our specialist patient transport minibuses had been stolen overnight from our hospice building in Gravesend.

The missing parts have meant the minibuses are unfit for purpose until they can be repaired, which has meant a number of patients have been unable to access our care services. Volunteer drivers use the vehicles to collect patients in the community who may be very ill, have mobility problems or might be elderly or frail - our minibuses get them to where they receive our support.

We have been completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our community, many of whom have asked how they can make a donation in support of the care ellenor provides. So in response we have set up a dedicated Just Giving Page.

Your donations will help us to continue to reach thousands of families facing terminal illness.
