Martin Tolhurst Solicitors has announced that its new 2017/18 Charity of the Year is ellenor and has pledged to raise £20,000 for the charity over the next 12 months. The ambitious, record-breaking, £20,000 target that the team at Martin Tolhurst Solicitors intends to raise will go directly to enable the charity to deliver 300 hours of compassionate care at the end of life to a child and their family.
“This year we will be going all out to help ellenor,” says Richard Carter, Managing Partner. “This would smash our fundraising record by a large margin and, having seen the vital work ellenor does in the community we serve, we are keen to raise this sum for them.”
Charlotte Hawkins, ITV Good Morning Britain presenter and Patron of ellenor comments: “As a Patron of ellenor, I am delighted that Martin Tolhurst Solicitors has decided to make ellenor its Charity of the Year. The £20,000 the law firm is hoping to raise will really make a difference to the charity, by enabling it to deliver 300 hours of compassionate care at the end of life to a child and their family. This means ellenor can be there when a family needs the support the most; 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”
Martin Tolhurst Solicitors has a flowing calendar of events planned for the year ahead to help it reach this record target including partner Kevin Denny running the London Marathon for the first time on 24 April and Ashford conveyancer, Laura Drawbridge, is attempting to climb Kilimanjaro in July.
“Both of these spectacular efforts by these two staff show how determined we are to support ellenor,” says Richard Carter.
Martin Tolhurst Solicitors will be sharing its fundraising efforts on social media (hashtag #MTS4Charity) and also on its website www.martintolhurst.co.uk
