Tunbridge Wells-based Maddisons Residential recently presented a cheque for £3200 to the charity ellenor – a sum raised by the estate agency donating £100 for every property it has sold over the past 12 months. The cheque was handed over by the founder of Maddisons and ellenor Ambassador, Deborah Richards, during the grand opening of its new offices on The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells.
ellenor provides vital care to families facing terminal illness and, in South West Kent, the service is centred round providing care to very sick children in their own homes. The charity’s Ambassadors – including Deborah Richards and Victoria Sampson from CooperBurnett – are a group of ellenor supporters who use their networks to promote the work of the charity.
“I am a mother of three healthy children and this is something that I never take for granted,” says Deborah. “The work ellenor does is incredible and there is such a clear and immediate need for more funds to help more families at such a difficult time in their lives.”
Deborah launched Maddisons Residential four years ago, using her experience of working in the private banking industry and the fact that she’d renovated 50 properties for profit.
“We are absolutely delighted to have received such an amazing amount of money from Maddisons,” says Kate Barnes, Area Fundraising Manager at ellenor. “We know that there are lots more families we can be supporting, so these funds are vital.”
