Hoopers Department Store in Tunbridge Wells recently presented ellenor with a cheque for £3722.51, raised from supporting the charity during 2015.
The store has also pledged to retain ellenor as its charity of choice during this year. In total, Hoopers has raised nearly £8000 for the charity - which cares for families facing terminal illness - over the past three years.
“Supporting ellenor – a charity which we all agreed to support and feel passionate about – has strengthened us as a team here at Hoopers,” says Jeremy Mather, Assistant General Manager at Hoopers. “Our love for such a great cause shows and our customers notice it too. They are always very generous and considerate of the fundraising we do in store and delighted to give to a local charity.”
Events which Hoopers has organised which have supported ellenor over the past 12 months, include its popular Santa Breakfast and a fashion show.
“We are delighted to be continuing to work with Hoopers during the coming year and are talking to them about some exciting fundraising opportunities,” says Martin Street, Area Fundraiser for South West Kent.
Currently, one child or young person is newly referred into ellenor’s service each week – so continuing to raise funds is vital.
“We are so grateful to companies across Tunbridge Wells and West Kent for their continued support, which means that an increasingly number of families can receive our support in this area,” adds Martin.
