ellenor was blessed with perfect weather for its Summer Fair at ellenor Gravesend. In addition to welcoming more than 500 local people, the event was also attended by special guest, Cheryl Fergison, one of the charity’s Patrons. She mingled with visitors and also helped draw the lucky winner of ellenor’s Summer Raffle. Other VIPs who made an appearance in the sun kissed garden at the hospice were Peppa Pig, Donald and Daisy Duck and even Queen Victoria!
The money raised from the Summer Fair will help ellenor support families facing terminal illness – each year the charity helps around 2000 families at the most difficult time of their lives.
Stalls at the Summer Fair included teddy tombola, bric-a-brac, face painting, a raffle and clothing, while refreshments – including freshly cooked burgers - were available. New this year was a KIDZ ZONE with games and activities galore.
In addition to enjoying the stalls, visitors were also entertained by the West Hill Morris Dancers, the Emerald Steel Band and Jugnu Bhangra.
