Gary Alexander, Manager of Bostik League South East club and former Millwall striker is to show his support for ellenor at our Twilight Walk this month.
He will be officially opening ellenor’s biggest mass participation event yet, ‘Twilight Walk’, on Friday 21 September which will see 1,000 participants at the cyclopark in Gravesend walking to raise money for hospice care.
Gary is walking in memory of his close friend’s mum who was diagnosed with cancer and subsequently received end of life care under ellenor.
“I’m proud to be supporting the work of ellenor. We have all been affected by terminal illness whether through family, friends or work colleagues and hospices offer a wide range of treatment and support to help people manage the symptoms of complex or long term conditions. It is my pleasure to help raise awareness of this charity who help babies, children and adults” says Gary Alexander.
The walk starts at 7pm. Walkers will have the choice of two challenges – beginning with one loop round the cyclopark before heading out through Gravesend for an 8km or 12km circular walk. All Twilight Walk participants will receive a Twilight Walk t-shirt and Finisher's Medal.

We are expecting this year’s walk to be our biggest Twilight Walk ever, and are looking to raise over £50,000 to allow us to continue to provide vital care”.
